Kashmiri Saffron

Kashmiri Saffron (also known as Kesar or Zafran) is the world’s finest and most expensive spice, cultivated in the Pampore region of Jammu & Kashmir, India. It is obtained from the dried stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower, known for its deep crimson-red threads, strong aroma, and intense flavor and coloring power. Kashmiri saffron is valued for its high crocin, picrocrocin, and safranal content, which determine its color, taste, and aroma.
